Ahmad Raza
Deep Learning Practitioner & Researcher
I am a final-year Software Engineering Undergraduate at Thal University Bhakkar, Pakistan. I’m driven by a single fundamental question: How can we bridge the gap between biological intelligence and artificial systems?
My long-term goal is to contribute to the development of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) as an AI Researcher in Academia. I focus on First-Principles Thinking—building complex architectures, from LSTM and GRU to Attention Mechanisms, completely from scratch using NumPy. This allows me to understand the heartbeat of the algorithms: the flow of gradients, the geometry of loss landscapes, and the dynamics of optimization. My tech skills include;
- NLP: LLMs, Transformers, fine-tuning, transfer learning, sequence models.
- ML/DL: Classical ML theory, deep neural networks, representation learning.
- MLOps: Model deployment, Docker, CI/CD and orchestration pipelines, AWS, K8s.
- Foundations: Linear algebra, calculus, probability theory, statistics.
While my core focus is on AI Engineering and Research, I find it interesting to read about Computational Neuroscience, Cognitive Psychology, Quantum Mechanics, and Quantum Computing. I believe understanding the biological substrates of cognition and the fundamental nature of reality can offer unique intuitions for designing intelligent systems. I spend my free time with Urdu Poetry and Literature, play chess and video games, and listen to classical Ghazal & Bollywood music.
Always happy to chat about Deep Learning, AI research, Neuroscience, or Urdu poetry. Feel free to reach out!
